Coyote DataLog in SCT - Cam Timing Not Commanded

    Hey everyone,

I was doing some data-logging using my SCT LiveLink and making a few minor changes in my tune. I was doing trial runs going from some MPH to a set MPH and calculating the time it took to get there so I could monitor improvements....

Well, I noticed an issue where at around 6600RPM on EVERY Pull, the cam timing goes from my commanded and ramps down as the rpm rise all the way to 0 degrees advanced. Which is NOT what I command at WOT.

Any clue as to how I can get it to give me my commanded. It only happens when I reach about 6600RPM's every time.

Here is a screen shot of what I'm talking about. It's the bold gray line. You can see it does a slow ramp and follows my commanded and then right at 66xx RPM it aggressively goes to 0! PLEASE HELP!

Try rescaling the two cam timing tables to a higher rpm and see what happens.

I had scaled it to 7200 RPM before the changes and before this issue.

What's funny is I'm still getting decent times that are similar to the tune before my changes.

When I load my old tune it's fine, but my new tune with cam timing changes isn't giving WOT commanded intake cam timing. The exhaust timing is fine.

What is different about your old tune compared to the new tune?

I've changed a tune that was already on the car. I looked at the log with the old tune and it was fine for cam timing and getting commanded at WOT.

    Tables I touched are:

Optimum Power Enable Pedal Position under the VCT Tab.
Under the VCT tab, Intake Cam Opening Angle, Exhaust Cam Closing Angle, Max Phasing Limit EOT Intake Cam
VCT Optimum Power Desired Load % Hysteresis VS RPM (This might be it???)
    I changed Rev Limiter
I changed WOT Lambda from .82 to .8333
I've reduced 1 degree of timing in the midrange due to seeing KR
    I disabled Tip-In Retard
Knock Advanced Limit is a little more aggressive
    Speed Limiter Disabled
    Fans Come on Sooner
Tire Recalculation for different wheels and tires.

I think that's it... I wish I could see it compared.

Do I have to readjust the Feed Forward Cam Settings when changing the Intake and exhaust valve timing???

You're knock cam from your wot lambda. You're generating too much heat. Set it back to .82 and let her have the timing. And that is why I love e85. Lambda = .85-.86, timing...over 25*

I can try and go back to .82, but I don't see any knock anywhere. I only saw KR when just going WOT at around 4000-4500 RPM and then it went away. I took 1 degree of timing out there and it was fine with no KR.

I'm going to go back to my old tune and then make one change at a time and see if it comes up again so I can try and pin-point it.

It's ONLY my Intake Cam Timing that isn't giving me what I command. Everything else is 100%.
Intake Camshaft Timing goes from commanded and starts an aggressive change to 0 degrees at 6600 RPM and gets to 0 degrees by 7000 RPM.

Just my own stupidity on mixing up the intake and exhaust values in high RPM at WOT. Leave it to me to waste a thread and everyone's time on a simple mistake.

    This.

I'm commanding .8333 Lambda which is 11.7. Hit's it perfect every time.
