    PE Enable/PE Delay RPM

I'm trying to figure out which of these settings to use to enable PE. I have looked at some tunes in the repository and most have PE Enable RPM set very low and PE Delay RPM set to where they want PE to enable. Seems like it should be the other way around based on what is described in the help section. Can someone clarify for me?

    Thanks,
    Tony

    PE Enable

Enable MAP: This MAP value must be exceeded to enable PE mode
Enable MAP Hysteresis: This value is subtracted from the enable MAP value. If the MAP reading drops below this value then PE mode will be disabled.
Delay RPM: PE mode is delayed if RPM is below this value. Set to 0 to disable PE Delay and enter PE mode immediately.
Enable RPM: This RPM value must be exceeded to enable PE mode
RPM Hyst: If enabled, RPM value must drop by this amount to disable PE mode
Enable Torque %: Percent desired torque required to enable Power Enrichment
Torque % Hysteresis: Percent desired torque hysteresis for disabling Power Enrichment

IIRC the PE Delay RPM doesn't delay PE until it gets to that RPM, it allows a short delay if the RPMs are below that RPM. If you look at a WOT log with a PE delay, you'll see a delay before the AFR goes to your PE value.

Sorry I think I'm thinking of enrichment rate. I think I just zeroed out the delay field just because.

So I put delay RPM at 0 and enable RPM at 2000. Enable MAP at 75. Seems to be working well.

Still don't understand why most of the tunes I've looked at are doing this in reverse. Can someone please explain?

that is to be set per your set up a n/a car wouldn't be as prone to knock unless it is very high compression compared to a roots style blower or any power adder! you can set rpm delay to 0 and whatever rpm you choose I like to bring fuel in fast as possible but look at your logs while watching a wideband and see where you need to be 2000 2500 3000 1500 depends on your set up!

Thanks for the response. I figured I was on the right track based on what my wideband was telling me. My PE is pretty much activated by kpa rather than by rpm now. Looks like it's working just how I want it to.
