updating the software on older laptop....issue with net4 framework

trying to run the latest version of the software on my laptop. I tried to open a file to tune and noticed I had not updated the version. so the 2.24 is available and I try downloading it and run into all kinds of issues. any idea how to run without the net4 framework or what can I do to continue....

All of our software requires .net 4 to be installed.

You must install the .net 4 framework.
