    Speed density test

Could someone make me favor and do test SD mode in 05-10 mustang?

What needs to be done, put car into failed maf mode, easiest disconnect maf, disable all errors will come,
log fuel trims and remember what they are, then change lwfm tables lot, for eg 30% all cells and do log again if something has changed? I'm getting no change in about 10 mustang I tested for this. Usually idle is 20% rich, middle about 0% change and higher load lean. Changing LWFM tables makes no difference in drivability, tip in, tip out etc, even if zeroed and maxed. But all other SD tables has matter, mixture is not changing, but drivability sucks when they are changed.

if someone has access to SCT, could do exactly this same and change values for exact same amount, do test and see if with SCT in changing something. If so, read tune with SCT and post both, HPT written and SCT written, this will help support to find what's wrong.

Running car in SD mode with draw thru setup with turbo makes life easier, second that putting cammed mustang in SD mode for idle and low load makes also huge difference in drivability.

    Thanks

Can you clarify this part? Are you saying to disable all of the error codes?

Once You disconnect MAF You will get error and in second throttle error so it will put car in limp mode, so for test You can disable it.
Or You can put car in SD mode as I described here:

    http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...r-maf-backwash

Than no error disable in needed and You dont need to disconnect sensor.

    Maf backwash table:
"1. setting low table to 0 and high table to 100 (64 is enough), makes car always in normal maf mode."

I did today same test on mustang v6.
I'm not able to change mixture in speed density mode, even all tables were zeroed, no change in mixture.
Thats still make no sense to tune lwfm tables, since they dont work.

The cars are not designed to run this way.

How then he even drives? He must calculate somehow how much fuel put in.
What i found for now, it has no matter how much modifications car has, its always 20 percent rich at idle, on spot low load, 20 lean high load in sd mode.

Every one says to tune lwfm tables, but they has no matter for fueling, maybe only to compare if maf is failed.
