I am installing an ls3 crate motor into a 01 Firehawk and I have heard of people using the ls3 knock sensors and an adapter to work with the 01 pc. Does anyone know how to tune for this?
Thanks Steven

The LS3 are a flat response sensor, the 0411 in your F-Body is expecting resonant sensors with the original F-body code in it. That said, the 2001-2002ish S10 pickup used the same 0411 hardware and 12212156 OS, and flat response sensors...so they ARE compatible with the PCM. I've never seen the switch for the sensors in HPTuners though, only in EFILive. You'd need to connect the LS3 knock sensors to the PCM according to the S10 wiring diagram (they're 2 wire sensors, signal and ground, rather than just the single wire sensors that the LS1 used). After that, you'd probably need access to more than just the knock retard tables in order to get the sensors working properly. There have to be settings/constants and so on that tell the PCM how those sensors actually work. I'm not sure if it's as simple as flipping a switch and the PCM knows to just look at different data that happens to already be populated.

The switch is there now, at least on the 12212156 OS. Noticed it a month or two ago.
