Initially read but came up with some parameters not loaded or something, sent to support and new beta to try and worked from then on.

Any idea on which shift tables are for what or do we need to wait for the scanner to work this one out?

    Brilliant work BTW

If you have at the ground speeds for each shift in the table the pattern becomes quite clear as too which tables affect which driving modes

How is the scanner looking for working on our vehicles.
I know it works on some SAE stuff but it leaves a lot to be desired.
Really don't want to go buy a SCT just for the data logging alone

Just tried to do a change but the Editor reported that the vehicle was unlicensed. I selected "Do Not Write" for the tune and "Write Calibration" for the transmission. The editor allows me to update anything in the tune/transmission so the vehicle is licensed.

Do you have to keep getting the latest beta in order to update the transmission (my download option has expired)?

Also, does everyone else have to select the hardware type (from memory it was Spanish Oak 1024K) before it will read the tune along with the transmission tune?

Car is a Territory Turbo (OS ID HACH3CA)

    Thanks in advance.

That is strange, did you do read both engine/transmission original when you saved a copy of the tune in beta format?
I also have to select the Spanish oak 1024K etc

Yes. Eric advised me to do that as that is the way the transmission is licensed. It is licensed as I can alter the tables and there is no license question when I open the file.

Checking the license information the non beta software says "Ford Aust Generic 2007[Territory]" and the Beta says "2007 Ford Aust Generic (V8)" both with same VIN. Beta version is 2.24.739 which I downloaded on the 25/7/2014.

Gosh there are a LOT of tables!

Update: Not the version as Bill kindly restored access to the Beta program and latest version still gives the same error. I have emailed support.

Latest version of software now has read calibration for the ZF, takes just over 3 minutes to read the transmission, 15 second delay between reads and 1 1/2 minutes to read the tune. All done in around 5 mins, brilliant. Bill is working on the "Unlicensed Vehicle" problem. With the new scanner this software will be seriously good

Just wanted to let you guys know that I am going to make some changes in the ZF definitions so that all the trans pressure tables are show in PSI or KPA. Not sure why Ford does it in bar, but its not as intuitive for most people.

Should be done by this afternoon.

Bill worked his magic and I no longer have the "Unlicensed Vehicle". Wrote the ZF tune in about 12 seconds

Can't wait to see if that 2nd -> 1st kick down at take off is gone.

I didn't get finished with it yesterday, will try today.

I did check in a change that fixes the shift map top axis so that the downshifts are labeled correctly.

Are yes, thanks mate. I forgot I asked about that one. Stopping the 4-3 and 3-2 kickdown will be good for tuning. Especially when loading the cars hard. See how the input shaft goes lol

    Eric,
Could you please have a look at the ongoing/off going ramp on/off pressures labels? It appears the "Reduced" pressure and Normal Pressure tables are reversed.

IE the reduced pressure tables are higher pressures than the Normal tables. Changing the Normal table values results in firmer shifts in regular trans mod but not in performance mode.

    Anybody else found this?

EDIT - It also appears the bug with the high/low line pressure threshold still exists?

I was thinking it was just me.
My normal mode ended up with firmer shifting then the performance mode.
So I flashed it back to the previous tune.

Like bugsy mine is shifting harder in normal mode than in performance mode. Will flash back the original and wait for a resolution.

Guys, please keep posting up information to the forums. I will go back and relabel things or change descriptions as you guys learn more. The parameter names and labels are accurate based on the information I have, but it would not be the first time that something does not work as it appears it should.
