    3.8 v6 vats 2000

I have had several V6 3.8 FB both auto and manual trans. It was necessary to install a vats simulator for the engine to run.
VATS will not disable in the ecm. The engine randomly shuts off injectors.

On a grand prix, you just have to set the two DTC's to no error reported for the VATS. Regals tend to be different.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Do you know how the Camaro behaves? Can you shut off the VATS in the PCM? How does it sound when the engine "randomly shuts off the injectors" ? Does the engine run, or shuts down completely? My engine runs VERY bad, misfires etc. I have turned off the two DTCs in the PCM.

It wouldn't run for crap even with the codes turned off until we put the vats module back in with the correct key and the bcm. It ran, but misfired randomly, even with the codes turned off.

You can definitely disable the VATS on all 3.8 vehicles.

Chris@HPT documented the process here a while back. There's a unique way to go about it with the 3.8 vehicles... but the info is buried somewhere in this forum.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
