2007 Corvette Z06 HCI build N/A with ID 1000 injectors

Any experience tuning this combo? Having a lot of drivability issues....bucking....hesitation. ......idle surge and stalling......horrible gas mileage.

Any tips info that could help. The car ran perfect with the old tune and stock injectors but I was maxing out the old injectors so I switched to the ID 1000s and went to a new tuner. My question is are these injectors to big for my application? I went with so I'd have room to grow as I want to throw some nitrous on it down the road.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

post tune and any logs you might have.....also specs on cam, intake etc.

If the original tune was good, changing injector data should have no ill effects.....if injector data is entered right. Post the original tune as well as the current one.

Sounds like your tuner is not up to par. I run ID1000s in my 2006 Z06 with over 1000hp and still manage 25mpg on the highway. Get the old tune file and the new tune file, and post them.

You may want to check the fuel pressure also as I've done a bunch of those combos with the same exact camshaft, heads and intake and the stock injectors should not max out on that setup unless maxing out to you is running more than 90% duty. Nearly all of those cars with that combo end up at 88-92% duty depending on weather and fuel pressure.

Yeah I believe we were at 92% duty cycle and fuel pressure dropped a little bit cause I have a 10% under drive crank pulley and I believe that's dropping my alternator voltage some so I put a hot wire kit on the fuel pump and went to the id1000s so I had plenty of room to grow once I was ready to pull the trigger on nitrous down the road.

The first tune ran really good and no issues with the car or tune whatsoever.

Added a hot wire kit to the fuel pump, ID1000 Injectors and a new tuner and now having some issues.......With the new tune and injectors the idle will fluctuate and bounce up and down every time the clutch is pushed in unless you give the car a nice rev to say 3500-4000 rpm immediately before pushing the clutch in. I didn't think this was that big of a deal until I drove in stop and go traffic......yeah huge pain in the ass and kinda embarrassing to rev the car up like that every time you pull up 10 ft when traffic moves.

Another thing is the new tuner stated that they had to change the throttle scaling drastically (from 7000 down to 5000 I believe he said). Now the car feels like its way down on power. The car made 597 rwhp on the dyno before this latest throttle scaling was done but wasn't put back on the dyno to verify the power output was still good.

The car ran 11.10 at 129mph all stock last year and made 463 rwhp

I went to the track yesterday and over 6 passes I ran 11.8-12.0 at 120-121mph with what is suppose to be 597 rwhp

Those 120mph trap speeds show me that the car is way down on power, probably only making 400-420 rwhp

Can my throttle only be opening partially at WOT now if the throttle scaling isnt correct on my car now?

The car runs perfect...no issues with the car, no codes, no anything, just isnt making the power that it should.

    Where should I begin?

I asked the new tuner to please email me the latest version of the tune so that I can post it up.

Im getting very frustrated and my patience is wearing very thin with all this!

    Thanks for the help guys!

So what do you guys think of the current tune?

I know its jacked up.....makes really really low power, idles jacked up and bucks at light throttle.

Can you guys see exactly whats causing the issues?

Would I be better off with the old tune just scaled to the ID1000 injectors?

Holy jacked up MAF tables Batman!!

You ain't kidding that tune is pretty jacked up. The MAF tables, the HO spark table, the idle tables, all of it. Time for a do over.

Shoot me an email and we'll try to figure out how to get you some help. I've tuned a butt load of those injectors and those cars/combos.

Ironically enough, when I had posted earlier, I was unaware I had tuned his car via email, for the shop who did the mechanical work for him, previous to this cluster F. Only after receiving an email from him did I realize. When I tuned it, it ran great and made decent power. I have no idea why the next guy wanted to change the ETC scalar, and flub up everything he did. But long story short, we're gonna get it resolved.
