How to use 2.24 to open files instead of 2.25?

I download the 2.25 beta for the ford vehicles, but now every time I want to download or see a tune on the forum or respository it won't let me.

I would like to see tunes and open it with the 2.24 and the ford's with the 2.25 (beta) How can i do it?

It works good, but I can't open no logs or tunes from the forum. They go to the beta file and can't open it

you need to go to your VCM 2.24 then open file. when you have both programs on the same computer it will choose the 2.25 and not open. same with scanner

How I do that? Let's say you post a file here and I click to open it and I want the 2.24 be the one to open it. Not the 2.25.

you download the file, to which ever directory you want. and then open your VCM 2.24 and open folder and find the calibration you want to open

Or you could hold the shift key right click on the file then choose "open with" and make sure the check box is ticked, browse to 2.24, done.

Just install 2.25 first, then install 2.24 second. This will make 2.24 the default program to use for HPTuners files.

Thats a great tip if it works MikeOD, should be a stickied idea for common question's, as I try & tell it to open with the 2.24 each time I open a file but lo & behold it keeps opening as 2.25! Not good if you want to compare files or anything!

Doing it the way I suggested just resets the default to 2.24, no need to install/uninstall/install anything...

I usually only open files from within the porogram. I don't double click the file to open and launch the program, so this has never been an issue with me.

JJ yeah like I mentioned I tried it your way & it always defaults to 2.25 for some reason!

ElecTech yeah thats a PITA if your using both versions for different circumstances but does work if you have 2 different shortcuts & their on the desktop!

But if the other way works I would prefer it that way, but from memory now thinking about it... it normally says you have a newer version so please uninstall that first & re-install this version?

one program will always be the default so you cannot default fords to one then gm 's to the other, sorry, but as suggested earlier, you have to open the program first, then open the respective file.

Yeah, but as 2.24 and 2.25 are updated daily...I'm always installing updates...so I always download both, then I install 2.25, then I install 2.24...then it works.
