2004 chevy 1/2 ton no gas gauge

I had my truck tuned about a year ago. After the down load the fuel gauge went to E and has not worked since. The tunner couldn't fix it. Has this happened to any body here and what do you do to fix it. Any help would be great. The truck runs and drives great. just no fuel gauge.
it was done with Hp tuners.

It's possible the cluster just went bad, it's very common for them to stop working be it the oil pressure gauge or the fuel gauge or the speedo will always read some random speed.

A quick test would be to swap clusters with another truck with the same style and see if it works on theirs.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I concur^ very common to just quit working. Was just a coincidence it happened then not the tuners fault. Gm issued special policys to cover these for extended periods of time because of this. Get someone with a real scanner, not a code reader, and do guage sweep. either it will come back alive, or youll be replacing it. they are not that expensive.

so we did a check with the gm scan tool. The sending unit shows good and we did a gauge sweep and the gauge did a full sweep and is at e still. we will try a different cluster and see what happens.

if cluster works with guage sweep, fuel gauge goes full sweep, and fuel sending unit is testing good, then it has to be something in tune. YOu should do a compare of a stock file and see what is different
