    TWIN Turbo LSX454

Injector modeling for twin turbo LSX454

We are setting up a LSX454 with twin turbo's, planning on 9psi boost, using a 2bar Map with massflow sensor.
We ran into a problem when trying to set up the "injector flow rate vs differential fuel pressure" the table would only allow 63.5# injector flow rate.
We are running FAST 65# injectors at 58# of fuel pressure. So how do I get this matched up?
This is our dyno mule for our Hi-performance classes at NADC.
We are running a E38 ECM

If anybody could help it would be much appreciated

    Thanks

running into the same issue with some 60lb siemen dekas ... my understanding is you scale them down to fit in the flow rate table then add the difference into the multiplier tables. So if you scale them down and only use 80% of the rate you would then add 20% to the multiplier tables. UGHHHH going to pull my hair out. have a 2005 with a big motor heads and fast 102

What ecu are you running? Those injectors are awfully small for a big inch motor with twins. Not really worth spending time scaling them as they are not going to support your power level.

2009 Corvette ECU (E67) should handle greater than 63.5. Need to double check the ECU/OS combination. Could use the ZR1 OS/Calibration, already supports FI.

At 620 HP (LSX454 out of the crate) and 9 lbs of boost you are looking at 1000 HP at the crank. Minimum size injectors are 100 lbs/hr or 1000 cc's. The Deka 60's at 58 psi fuel pressure are only 72 lbs/hr. You will have to run more fuel pressure of get larger injectors.

HP custom OS may be another option to consider.

That doesn't work with the multipliers. Misinformed people think it does work, but then don't realize they're actually building in the error elsewhere in the tune.

2009 Corvette Z06 is E38, and the Z06 ECM still has the limit for 2009. LS3 ECMs do not have the limit, but you cannot flash that operating system because it is different hardware than the Z06 ECM.

The topic of scaling has been discussed quite a bit over the years. A quick search will get you some information. However, to make it simple for you, enter the flow rate as half of what it really is, and then multiply the stoich table by 2.

Dave, was referring to the ZR1 LS9 E67 as another option other than scaling.....

    Re-pin it....tag your it :-)

J/K, understand he already has the E38 installed and wired in. I just think the E67 would have been a better starting point.

I'd take the E38 any day.

Interested.... why do you prefer the E38 when the E67 IFR and MAF will handle double and quadruple (respectively) the hard coded limits and preclude scaling for a setup similar to his? My understanding is they are both Power PC based and the E67 was supporting other FI packages.

    Thanks

2009 and later Corvette (excluding 2009 Z06) don't have the low IFR limit or the MAF restriction. E67s have extra inputs and outputs which can be nice, but the 09 LS3 Corvette OS operates way better than anything else from my experience.

Got it. I mistakenly thought only the E67 supported the increase IFR/MAF values.

    Thanks,

Unable to post a file at this time, "scheduling conflicts' the engine is one place, now I am in another class, as soon as I can arrange it I will get the file and ECM type.
Ive been building performance engines and transmissions for the last decade, but this is my first tuning project.

    Thanks so far
