Thread: Helpful tools for those tuning E85 and blends

Yeah. XP is much faster than 7 (though 7 is way better in terms of OS) for the netbook's garbage processor. I back up my hpt files to flash drive in case it dies. I almost never use my other laptop for tuning.

Doesn't matter what brand netbook you get. They all run the same junk processor regardless of brand (N270?). It's the perfect cheap platform if you use it for nothing but tuning.

Screw that. My 10" screen is too small for tuning. I'd rather have my laptop out with the bigger keyboard. The tablet has a keyboard but it's still small in comparison. Of course if the laptop takes a dump my tablet could be used.

Used a Dell micro pc with dash mounted 15" screen in a excursion iirc. It was awesome with xp. Had tuning software and a USB hard drive for iTunes and a USB wifi for iTunes updating. Pretty cool considering my logs could be monitored easily on the road.
