Accurate 1/4 mile time

No searching led up to an answer, so I ask.... Is there any way to simulate a 1/4 mile run/log and be close on ET, MPH and distance? I've tried to use markers for the start of the log and use the throttle position at the end by lifting but this is not consistent. I have the distance all marked out but starting and stopping the log this way is not really producing the results.

Suggestions? I'm surrounded by 1/8 mile tracks no 1/4's

There are a lot of free software simulating dyno and performance. All you ne ed to have is a 10hz GPS and you will be accurate to +-0.1s
