Tuned a 13 auto on the dyno on friday

Mods were: JLT intake, midpipes - back, 3.73 gear. Made 389hp and 387 tq on a mustang dyno in 4th gear. Thoughts?

    Still catted?

From what I understand, these motors like exhaust valve changing the most. Did you change the cams until you saw no more improvements or change them at all?

Yea this one only made 342 tq on the mail order tune. That was in 3rd gear though, iirc it picked up 27 tq at the wheels over the mail order.

Btw, this car ran a best of 12.1@115 with the mail order with the mods listed and stock 235's. it will be interesting to see what the track gains are

I'm in for track results. Gonna be a huge gain for sure.

What was the 60 foot on the mail order tune?

Best with stock rims and tires was 1.8, when he changed his rims and tires best he's got so far is 1.9. We shall see what's next soon

    Pretty sweet, GPGTP.

I'll undertstand if you don't feel like sharing, but I was curious as to the WOT Lambda you set for it? I have mine commmanding a .82 across the board at WOT and I feel a little fearful of leaning it out any. Wondering if I'll get better results ramping it from about a .85 through the .82 up top similar to stock or not. I am not dyno testing this (although I should take the time to do so - $$$), so I'm curious as to what the Coyote motors like and can be reliable on.

Lets just say it's slightly leaner than stock and I can't tell you what timing was over stock as it wasn't a stock file, I'll check and get back with you. All I'm willing to say at this point is timing isn't very high. Just remember every car is different so what worked on this one may not be optimum on another

    Understood.

I'm still trying to find a sweet spot and still be safe. I think I'll be fine with my setup. Just curious as to how lean some are making them. My Lambda and timing work for me.

24-25* on 93 pump is reasonable.

14.13 stoich and .850 lambda is roughly what I use. ~12.0 target AFR at WOT.

I set it to .87 but I'm not willing to go any higher than that

I left my Stoich stock at 14.08.

I might try a .85 Lambda and see what the difference is on the dyno.

Don't change stoich unless you are swapping to a different fuel. I'm talking about wot lambda

anytime you adjust your WOT lamda make sure you adjust your MAF transfer, these vehicles operating in closed loop even at WOT. best if is to get your correction to .99/1.01

    GPGTP

I ask for logs to see how as i am curios how HPT is doing it. or did you use livewire II?

.87 lambda is a bit lean for me. I do .83 lambda myself. Just keep an eye for knock activity or if cat over temp is kicking in (unless disabled).

I never do unless I run an Ethanol mixture. I was thinking you were lol.

I have my MAF transfer tuned to my Airaid CAI. I haven't had any WOT issues and my correction bounces around the .99/1.01. I've resorted to using Livewire II until HPT releases the detailed scanner. The 2.24 Scanner doesn't give me enough of what i want to see.
