    CSC Tune Help

    Hi all,

I'm just pushing about 4-5 lbs of boost, nothing that my car shouldn't be able to handle, but at times I'm seeing huge amounts of knock and even getting misfires if i'm at WOT. I keep retarding the timing, and still getting KR, but it seems like I also don't have much power anymore. From a stand-still I can't even chirp my tires.

I was hoping someone who is quite adept at this stuff can be a little bit of a mentor.

My current tune, and a decent 40 minute log is attached.

    Current Mods:
Stattama CSC Kit with Paxton Novi 1000
    ZZP Stage 1 HVTB
Plugged PCV in TB and running a breather (as instructed by Stattama)
    Stock MAF
    HV3 Insert
    ZZP ER Rockers
    180* thermo
    Autolite 103s
    Front ZZP Powerlog
ZZP Downpipe with hollowed out Cat
    GMPP Cat-back exhaust

    You NEED injectors, NEED.

00+ uses those Multec 2 injector connectors, the oddball. Best bet is to go onto a Cobalt SS forum, find yourself two people willing to sell their LSJ stock injectors super cheap.

Am I maxing out my injectors that badly?

Is there a reason you suggest finding the LSJ stockers, instead of L67 stockers? Is the connector for the L67 different? Or do the LSJs just flow better?

    YES!

At 100% throttle, your injector pulse widths are 30ms. There's no way for the injectors to come even remotely close to fueling the engine to the 11.0 you're commanding once you're past 4000rpms.

We discussed this last fall and I encourage you again to buy some injectors, because you WILL blow something up if you don't address this immediately.

Yes, the LSJ injectors will have the correct injector connections for your 00 Monte L36 wiring harness, the L67 injectors will not.

Or do the LSJs just flow better?
They flow roughly the same 33-34# rating as the L67 injectors.

If you want to cut the wiring harness and change the connector style from multec 2 to ev1, then you can run L67 injectors

Ahhh, I was looking at Injector Duty Cycle, and since I never saw it go above 90% I thought I was fine.

I will definitely see what I can do about getting some injectors in there ASAP. I have a friend who is replacing his stock LSJ injectors soon in his Ion Redline, so I know I can have at least 4 lined up. I'll hit up some forums and see if I can score another set for cheap.

Thanks Will! You're always a great help to me

Until then, I guess I'll just drive around in the Camaro mostly, and when I do take the Monte out, I will keep the TPS below 50% haha

    4 down, 2 to go!

When tuning for the new injectors, since the flow-rate is the same as the L67 and it's just a different connector. Is it okay to just copy the L67 tables for:
Injector Flow Rate vs KPA VAC
    Injector Offset vs IGNV
Injector Offset vs InjPW vs MAP?

Bump, will have all of the injectors that I will need tomorrow. Plan on doing the swap on Sunday.

Am I correct in my tune ideas to get the new injector rates?

My other set of 4 injectors were sent to the wrong address

Still waiting for those to get to me. Couldn't get the injectors on this weekend, but I did copy those tables to a new tune file and will update when I get the injectors on. Hopefully soon!

Well, I got the LSJ injectors, I've been messing around with tuning and fueling, and I've been scaling my MAF and my LTFTs and everything seemed to be going great. The car felt nice and strong, I have been getting everything slowly dialed in.

Yesterday was the first time I finally went WOT on the car, felt pretty good. So now I wanted to work on my timing, tried to add a little on WOT and it's knocking like crazy and my Inj. Duty is over 90% already.

Am I seriously maxing these injectors too

Haven't looked at your logs, but do you have a/f data?
