2006 gto not going into SD

Followed the write up in the stickies page to setup the tune on a 06 gto I'm trying to tune. Looked the write up and the tune over dozens of times but the car still won't go into SD or even start with the MAF zero'd out.

When I open the scanner and key on the MAF codes do not come up. The car has no codes at all. I checked the 3 MAF codes and they are all enabled. I tried with them in the stock error mode which is 1-mil on second error I believe and I tried it in error mode 0-mil on first error and still nothing.

The car will start to fire and chug a little and as soon as it does the pcm commands the injectors to 100% duty cycle and the car dies.

    What am I missing here?

Why won't the car go into SD so I can get this ve table dialed in. Really bothering me cause this guy needs his freshly cammed car tuned badly cause it's his DD. Afraid that him driving it around too much un tuned is gonna trash the o2's and the plugs will be trashed for sure but those are cheap.

Open loop IVT needs to be a .1, not 1.0. Also, I would leave the values stock except the areas at 133 IVT/176 ECT and up. That way you get some cold start enrichment at start up and you won't be tuning until you hit engine temps of 176 or up. The can be set to .1

Another trick is to set the MAF HZ 1000 cell to like 7.0 to see if it will catch long enough to get into SD, but you should be ok with the open Loop IVT change.

Oh opps guess I misread that in the write up. I set 3 tables I think it was that it mentioned to 1.0 not .1 like you stated.

I was trying to do this while the car was warmed up so the cold start areas wouldn't have mattered I guess. I'll change them back in the colder ranges and set the rest at .1

Also I was under the assumption that with the MAF fail hi and low at 0 that it would throw the code as soon as you key the ignition on.....guess not.

The IVT gain, Inj temp gain, and eq ratio min I changed all to 1.0.....Should I go back and do all those tables to .1 in the operating/tuning temp range?

If it is supposed to be .1 then why does the write up say 1.0.....that can mess some ppl up pretty bad.

So the IVT table is the only one you change to .1 I take it?

The tune I posted just above your last post was supposed to be the fixed one but apparently I didn't save it and the editor didn't ask me if I wanted to save if when I closed it haha wtf.

By setting to 1.0 you set open loop lambda to 10 or lean as b*lls. Won't start.

Okay so just set the ivt table to .1 in the operating temp areas but leave the rest of those other tables alone?

Hoping this thing will start and go into sd mode so I can tune it. Idk what else to do if it doesn't cause as far as I know everything is set correctly besides that one table.

Yes, set the Open Loop IVT table back to stock and set operating temp range to .1. Should do it.
