So this upgrade/modification is called the AFM1600L. Turns the AFX into the AFM1600L. I could only find this info on the upgrade

The error is the same as the newer AFM1000 and AFM1500 according to ECM and even the range is similar except it is shifted a little leaner.

The new NGK unit that replaces the AFX is supposed to read from AFR 9.00 to 20.00

Mine is done and on it's way back to Australia, ECM have been faultless in making this happen!

I'm glad you guy's are getting this done!! I had thought about it and think I am going to pull the trigger on another new NGK unit and send it right off to them.

13 days Door to door to door Australia>USA>Australia, awesome service, I ordered a part from one state away the day before I sent the NGK off to ECM and it hasn't arrived...

Damn that's about how long it took mine, and ECM only had it a day.

I have a question for you guys that have the converted box's already... does the new box still do the startup voltage output routine? The original NGK at the countdown marker of 15 would output stoich voltage until the countdown reaches 5 and then it would output the minimum lambda possible which in stock form is 0.618 lambda. This becomes extremely helpful when setting up the wideband to read correctly in the scanner. You can log the whole startup process to verify lambda of 1.000 from 15-5 on countdown and then 0.618 from 5-0 countdown. I'm just curious if the new box still does a similar routine to help keep the analog output as close as possible to minimize error.
