Need Help With Programming Tach Outout Divider
I have a 74 Corvette I'm doing an LSx swap on with a 4L60e. I am trying to get the tach to read correctly, and from my research, I've came up with this. Everyone knows the LS1 outputs a 4 cylinder tach signal. My Corvette has an electronic tach that was driven off the negative side of the coil. (distributor). From my understanding, the 4 cylinder signal is derived from a formula involving the 24 tooth reluctor wheel. Something like this: 24/6=4 (24 teeth on reluctor divided by 6 equals 4. Isn't there a way to change that formula to 24/3=8? If I can change the divisor of 6 and change it to a 3, that sure cure the issue, I think anyway. If so, how and where do I go to make this change?
