    Pedal Position has nothing to do with it, you arent enabling OP VCT

    VCT has different tables that are referenced to depending on the conditions and temprature

    I'm working on a 2013 f150. Same deal. Op is not enabled on these things so shouldn't need changes in op. I know cam specs are different. I have mine giving correct idle speed and all but I'm gonna hold out until I'm able to log more.

    Does anyone have any advice on how to do get a lumpy idle on a 2011 GT? I tried doing what's mentioned in the link to the PDF, but it seems to be idling the same...other than at a higher RPM than stock. Stock was 650, the PDF has it changed to 775.

    Just making sure with those who haven't gotten this yet...

    You're making sure vehicle is up to operating temp and oil is up to temp? I notice that my lumpy idle doesn't automatically start unless I give the throttle a tap. Once the rpm goes back to idle, the lope is engaged.

    When warming up from a cold start, as the car gets warmer you can actually hear and feel the lope come into play. Kinda cool.

    I let it idle for about 20 minutes...revved it all the way to 6000 rpm...nothing happening when it comes back.

    Here is the stock read, and then my attempt at the tune...did I do something wrong?

    Well...I just found the exhaust cam phasing limit vs EOT was set to 0 in the 750 RPM cell...just changed that, going to go flash it and see if it works.

    I didn't have any luck with a 2014 GT A6 I tuned either. Just a higher idle, but no lope. I followed the .pdf screenshots as well.

    I tried -40 instead of 40 on the intake cam for positions 0 and 1... It sounds different returning to idle, but not loping and only for a couple seconds, then I hear a noise under the hood, which is probably the cams moving, then it idles super smooth again.

    Also, one time flashing, HPTuners said complete way way way too fast and the car was dead, wouldn't crank. Had to restart HPTuners for it to see the interface again, but luckily it took the flash without issue again and the car started. I was nervous I'd lost the PCM.

    I don't understand what the distance tables are doing at all. I understand mechanically how VCT works, but I'm lost in this computer LOL.

    Try putting your Minimum VSS to 0.

    Engine>Idle>General - Minimum VSS is 2 stock. Change to 0.

    Go from there.

    I haven't had much luck with it yet either. Kinda gave up until we can log mapped points but appears to be some kind of clip being missed that's keeping it from working. Also I'd like to know supposed park position of the cams to better figure out over lap

    How do I control which mapped points are used when? Is that what the distance tables do? What do the numbers in the distance tables mean?

    I got it!!!

    Driveability is a little off now...I'm sure once I can datalog, I'll be able to make the thing nice again and still have bump. I still don't understand how to tell it what mapped points I want it to run from, but I've been able to give the owner of the car the idle he wants.
