    security access denied???

I was trying to tune a 05 Cadillac sts 4.6L and when I went to read the file it failed with "security access denied". The VIN read correct for the 2005 but the description said 2008 STS. Any ideas?

Probably not a supported vehicle, have you checked the supported vehicles page by any chance?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Just to explain, our software looks at the vin & operating system and tries to make a determination as to what type of pcm it is, so it sees a vin it sort of recognizes, it says "hey this is an STS, the year doesn't look like one we support but I'll try to read it out as an STS we DO support and cross my fingers that it uses the same pcm", when it fails the read it will try again, fail again and then done. The 05 STS 4.6 uses an oddball pcm that we do not support.
