    help boot loader issues

    bootloader download request timed out... this kinda sucks...

    I keep trying to read entire and keep getting this ...

    the truck is a 03 gmc 3500 8.1 and a Allison trans.

    I have un hooked the battery and tried again

    I have hooked up a battery charger on it with the voltage @14.7

    any help is welcome I only have this truck till about 3:30

    Try reading in low speed mode.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    failed this way too

    that was with out battery charger but the dash is showing 12 volts

    is this during the pcm read or the tcm read when it fails?
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    during the vcm .... im walking away from it as its reading but its on 6% this time so far so good ... I hooked up the charger this time

    likely just a comms issue, if it doesn't read you'll likely need to read it on a bench harness.

    that battery charger can kill your interface. it did one of mine.

    One issue I had with a vette not too long ago, I had to actually wire tie the mpvi plug to the cars odbc connector. For some reason I had a number of read problems. Once I did that and it seemed to make good contact reads and writes were no problem.
