    2000 GTP Hesitation and KR

gtpaftff3.hpl Stumped as to why my 2000 GTP is stumbling and getting KR when you really get into the boost....just replaced the 02 and fuel filter.....car runs great until you get into it...car is completely stock other than a K&N and gutted airbox

    Any ideas would be appreciated...

    Thanks,
    John

    I see misfires going on.

Cylinders 3 and 4, from what I see through my scanner.

Does the check engine light flash??

I'd start by changing plugs and wires, then inspect the coil packs.

I clicked on your scan and went to tables, and it shows each cylinder on the left side for misfires on my screen anyway.

At around the 10-11 minute mark some misfires come up on cylinders 3 and 4, up to a 50-60+ count, so it's a pretty good miss and thus the stumble you likely feel.

If you do go out and buy plugs, just never buy platinum plugs for a 3800. The waste spark ignition system will eat them alive and you'll get the same problem again. Go with Iridium on a stock vehicle.

I know that much at least I have AC Delco Iridium in it right now so I'm thinking coil pack or wires...I have a '99 Regal GS also so going to swap a coil pack and see if it helps....

    Thanks
