TCM and gearbox issues --- frustrated

    hi all,

please help - I have an LS3 with ECU which came out of a 2007 Silverado with O/S ID 12614088 and the ECU is calibrated for an auto box - but I have a manual box installed - and I just cannot program the ECU at all -- no changes are accepted.

I keep getting an error "transmission mismatch TCM detected" I am trying to change the gearbox to a manual one and then start tuning ...

    anyone have any ideas?

do a re-read of the Pcm without the TCM attached and see if that works.

In some of the OS's, there was a PID for the gearbox under the Engine info. It had the options for Auto or Manual and you had to select Manual. Not sure if your OS has the option though...

Do a fresh read of the Pcm and try that.
