    Need to reduce power

I'm sure this is the opposite way most people are going but I have a car in a NASA TT class that is based off power to weight and I'm over. I don't want to add more weight and need to loose only about 25WHP based off my last dyno which was just after break in. The car has a few races on it now and I'm sure has broken in some so I need another baseline.

So I'm wondering if it's safe to just pull a degree or two of timing in the WOT region of the map to get me where I need. I can't think of any reason it would hurt since OEM was around 18* and I'm now around 22* and I think 20-21* will let me hit my target. I just want to make sure I'm not going to toast a valve or something I didn't think of.

Actual specifics: They car dyno'ed 452rwhp and I need to it to be near 425 rwhp. This was on 91 pump gas with ~10:1 SCR.

    Thoughts???

You can absolutely pull timing or add fuel to get where you need. You won't hurt anything unless you do either one to an extreme.

Okay thanks. I didn't think that little was a big deal but better to check with a few pros before hand.

Also, if you pull a degree of timing and it takes too much power out...you might get away with a different AFR to bring the power back up a little where you want it to be.
