    Speedometer calibration

    Hello all

Since support has help me for my ECM E77, i can now flash it with some parameters. One is speedometer calibration. Exactly, VSS Pulse.
But, when i change the value, and flash ECM, speedometer don't change. The problem is that i have 10km/h of difference between GPS and speedometer.
    Do you know why ?
    thank you

    Francois

Post your stock file & the most recent file so we can take a look.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I have tried to change VSS Pulse from 25.000 to 20.000, 21.000, 22.000, 23000 and that's all. And no effect. I only changed this parameter.

Might be as simple as an issue with you using decimals instead of comma's, try setting your regional settings to english as this could be the key to getting the results you desire.

I tried to change value with no comma as 25000 as valuated the first time but no effect. So i don't use comma.

I assume you've changed tire height which is the reason you are looking to modify this constant?

No. Since i have this car i have a difference between real speed and speedometer. When i connect an odb scanner the speed is good.
So i think it s a problem inside the speedometer and DIC because the speed is the same between them. So i want to correct it.

Talked to the engineer who did the definition work for this application, he believes the speedo controls might be found in the tcm which we do not currently support(T68) and not the pcm. He added a tire height table to the newest 2.24 build posted a few minutes ago for you to try out but he's pretty sure its probably something in the tcm thats controlling the speedo.

I downloaded the last build. I checked also the regional setting and you right. In French, there is a space "25 000" in VSS Pulse parameter. In English USA, there is a comma "25,000" and a comma in the gear ratio. So i have 2 parameters to test this week. I'll give you news soon.
    Thank you again

    Hi
Since i changed regional setting, it have no effect on speedometer. So as you wrote, i think there is a TCM who control the Speedometer and DIC. But when i connect my odb scanner, the speed is accuracy with a GPS. I'm going to find a method to calibrate the speedometer so if someone know it, i will be very glad to read you.

Any way, Bill, no news to read entire ECU ?

    Thank you
    Regards
