    Previous Owner Tune Looks Stock?

    Hi, I have a question.

I have a 05 CTS-V that the previous owner said had been tuned (unknown tuner program). Now I have plugged in and downloaded the tune with my HPTuners cable. Interestingly the PCM did not have the VIN and I had to enter it manually when the dialog box popped up. This leads me to believe that it had been previously tuned. But when I look through the tune, I can't find a single parameter that is different.

Is it possible that an other tuning software suite changed the code that the PCM is using while leaving the tune appearing stock via HPTuners?

    Or

is the PCM just stock and Didn't contain the VIN from the factory?

I would just hate to try a tune and have it not actually see the changes....

I don't know, the VIN being missing, has me guessing.

    Ryan

Isn't your 05 CTS-V a Gen 4 vehicle? If so, the Gen 4 forum might be of more help.

The 2005 CTS-V runs the same OS as a 2005 Truck. That would be very tricky to get a 58X engine to run on a 24x calibration
