New to tuning with a rare build.

My car is hibernating for the winter, and I've just been reading and reading about tuning. I thought I could possibly just throw up some files and have some people look at it and let me know if there is anything awful that I should never do haha.

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS with a Paxton Novi 1000 centrifugal supercharger. ZZP HVTB, ZZP HV3 Insert, ZZP ER Rockers, ZZP Front Powerlog, ZZP 2.5" downpipe, GMPP Cat-back exhaust.

It's been a long build and something that I have always wanted. I like to get dirty and learn as I go. I thought tuning wouldn't be too terrible... but I might be wrong haha.

    Thank you anyone in advance

    Welcome.

Seen a few novi kits done up before. Hard to come by for sure.

One thing I'd suggest is removing the valve cover breather and putting the regular oil cap back on. Unless your stock PCV system is not working, you don't need a breather. I don't see a intercooler either.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

During the install it was recommend to plug the TB and run the breather, so that is why I am running it.

Yeah it's going to stay a non-intercooled build for a while, just trying to have a little fun with it before I get into a higher HP build. Just trying to learn as I go

Keep the breather. I have seen pressure build and blow oil out the dipstick, thus why the K&N there.

I run the same K&N breather on my setup. As far as tuning, if your new and your doing FI, get a mentor (free) for sure or pay someone to help you at least. Too much risk losing a motor with FI being a new tuner.

Make sure you have a wideband, and able to log with HPT pro as well.

If you lived closer Id volunteer for the thelp. But dont even thing about tuing without a wideband.

Someone will chime in. FWIW you can tune with both short and long turn trims, but not for & not FOR FI SETUPS.

Not even for NA. WB before anything and fix the PE. Always start safe. Cost of WB vs cost of new motor.

Looks like this spring is a definite WB purchase for me.

Anyone have any recommended reading that I should pick up?
