    MAP sensor offset and slope calculations

    Hello all,

    I have a turbocharged Ford Focus and I'm trying to set the correct values for my new Bosch 3 bar map sensor. Anyone can help?
    I'm using SCT Advantage software for ecu tuning and I replaced the stock 1 bar map sensor for a Bosch 3 bar sensor.

    The default values for my ecu with a stock 1 bar map sensor are (I'm guessing the stock sensor is 1 bar, since the car is NA from factory):
    MAP sensor offset: 0.7514
    MAP sensor slope: 0.0353

    After a little math, I got these numbers:

    for bosch 3 bar
    P1 -> 11 kPa at 0.25V
    P2 -> 307 kPa at 4.75V

    slope
    (307-11)/(4.75-0.25) = 296/4,5 = 65,77

    offset
    65,77 x 5 = 328,88
    328,88*(4.75/5) = 312,43 - 307 = 5,43
    307 - 312,43 = -5,43

    So, how do I input these values at the SCT software? Stock values are MAP sensor offset: 0.7514 and MAP sensor slope: 0.0353.
    New values would be offset 0.543 and slope 0.06577 ?

    The unit of these values are not specified, so I'm a little confused.

    Thank you!

    This would be best posted on SCT's support forum.

    It was posted at sct forum. But theirs is weak when talking about speed density issues. I can find much more information at HPTuners.
    Hope someone can help me.

    Thank you

    Anyone knows if this calculation is correct? SCT support doesn't know how.

    Any value I input for slope and offset doesn't give any effect.
