    Possible Dead E37?

    We are working on a 1985 CJ7 and swapping in a 4.3 from a 2008 GMC Sierra.
I was not able to get the PCM with the motor and after some research I found out it was an E37. So I got an E37 from a 2009 HHR for cheap which has the exact pat number as the one for our 4.3
I was worried about reflashing the HHR E37 OS (via Tech2 $$) to run the 4.3 so I located another E37 from a Chevy Express Van 2008 4.3.

I made the engine harness from scratch and tested all pins via continuity test and everything passed. I had the 4.3 E37 in the Jeep and turned the ignition on and nothing.

I checked all power and ground to the PCM and all were good.

I then swapped in the E37 from the HHR and sure enough it came to life; fuel pump primed, check engine light came on, and I was able to download the stock tune file to VCM suite.

Swapped the Express Van 4.3 E37 back in and nothing.

I am pretty certain the 4.3 Express Van E37 is dead, but wanted to see if you guys had any input. These PCM's seem pretty dang tough so I'm thinking either I was sold a bad PCM or it was dropped a few times in shipping.

    sounds like it to me.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
