Need help with P300, I have thousands of misfires in the history box

Car is basically a 2006 C6 that just had H/C done.

It developed check engine light and has a noticeable ticking coming from the engine bay. I logged this information today as my first time and am shocked to find that I has thousands of misfires in the history PIDs.

Can you guys give me some direction on what to look at? If you look at my data log you can see under the Primary table the logged misfires.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

I'm going to pull the spark plugs and see what they look like followed by pulling the valve covers and then do a compression test on each cylinder.

    Thanks

Post your tune so we can see how the misfire tables are setup.

Edit: Looking at your data log, it looks like you do have an actual misfire on bank 2, passenger side.

Well, I was forced to license the car and after comparing the tune to a stock tune I determined that the misfire tables were identical. I then switched the misfire tables to 32,768 and its all good now. Thanks

by the way prior to this change I did a compression test (good) and swapped new plugs and wires, checked coils, and checked valve springs.

Don't just max the tables out, then if you ever do have a misfire it won't be picked up by the computer. I add 10% usually until the scanner doesn't read misfires when there aren't misfires. You want to find that happy medium between false misfires not being logged but real ones being logged.

Take care of the mechaniacal before changing those tables.

If you can hear the ticking, you most likely have real misfires and they need to be fixed first.

Otherwise, great info on softening those misfire tables.
