Do you mean an LS1 PCM? If so, yes, and to be honest, I'd go with a 2002 OS...12212156 is I believe the newest OS you can put into a 99-2002 LS1 PCM.

Yes but like MikeOD said I would move right up to the 2002 OS for the '411 PCM. The only thing you will not be able to keep is the stock vehicle VIN everything else will work fine

It's weird I tried it last night and it did not work. I noticed the security light stayed on on the dash. Car would fire for a second then shut off. Loaded the 2 bar back in and it fired right up.

Post what you flashed in. If you don't have the MAF fail stuff set correctly, it'll start/stall instantly like that.

Not all '99 ECMs are created equally. My early '99 Corvette's ECM is not the same as the later '99 ECM that I use in my Nova and they have different enhanced OS choices. You may not be able to run 3-bar OS if you have one of the early ECMs.
