    2010 Camaro Supercharged idle issue

Been messing with this for a couple days and I am exhausted. When you blip the the throttle the rpm goes up, comes down, seems to stabilize then it drops down to 450rpm and almost dies. I have played with air and timing idle tables to no avail. Obviously missing something. The only other thing that bothers me is that the cam in this engine has a 111LSA. Not a good idea I know but don't shoot the messenger. I am wondering if that's a contributing factor. The other thing that bothers me is the FAST 65lbs injectors. I know they are crap and told customer this and told him I would do my best with them. I thought they where drilled out stock injectors so the voltage table should be relative and I did the pressure table using a spread sheet I whipped up. MAybe this is the issue?

Common misconception. The internals are not what define the offset and short pulse adder table.

What I have done in the past for injectors like that...swap them for a set of my own injectors, where I have known good data, then dial in the VE and MAF with my injectors...then swap them back and dial in the offset (dead time) table to bring the fueling back in line where it was with the known injectors...it's a giant PITA, and it only gets you part of the way there...but I really don't know of a better way to dial in injectors that don't have good calibration data with them other than shooting from the hip.

Your right, Its a huge pain in the ass but it helped a bunch!!! After 12 hours of playing with it I got it to idle stable. It hunts just a bit in gear but its livable. I will refuse to tune anything with these injectors in the future. Just not worth it.

    DSteck, Thanks for the clarification.

I was still fighting the idle issue a bit even after getting the injectors somewhat dialed in. I finally " fixed" the issue by tuning it hybrid VE/MAF. Tune the VE up to 1500 and let the MAF take over from there. Got it to idle at 900rpm down from a stupidly high 1000rpm. Stopped any surge dead in its tracks. Its no substitute for proper injectors but I thought others should know if they ever search for this issue.
