2004 Silverado 5.3 - Lean fuel trims issue

    Hi guys,

I have a 2004 Silverado 5.3 with the following mods:

    AFE Stage 2 CAI
    Summit Racing Shorty Headers
Magnaflow single in dual out catback
    Comp Cams XR265HR 212/218 .522/.529 114lsa
    GM blue valve springs

I am trying to get my VE table dialed in right now. With the MAF disabled the fuel trims are rich(0 to -5). When I enable the MAF everything goes lean(0 to +10). Could this be a vacuum leak issue, or is something amiss in my tune. Bad MAF sensor maybe? I sprayed carb cleaner around my engine to try and find a leak but didn't catch anything. I also cleaned my MAF with CRC MAF cleaner and that did not resolve the issue.

This is the first vehicle I have tried tuning, any input would be greatly appreciated.

You are close enough to disable LTFT's and set the VE off of STFT's........ Not that bad now... I'd hand smooth the VE table, those are some big jumps from 90 to 100.......

Have you touched the maf table yet? The Cai will make a difference to that.

Just dialed in the MAF table it made a huge difference. Did some more work on the VE table as well. Fuel trims are where they should be. Thanks for the tips guys.
