    2008 L76 6.0l

I have an chance at a low mileage 2008 Gen 4 L76. It is not mated to a transmission, what I was wondering if I could put a newer 4L60e behind the L76? Could I get a harness and modify it to be stand alone, with an E38 ECM and a T42 TCM, and what would be a good donor vehicle and or program I could use to get everything to work together? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What you are asking about already exists ... from 2007 to 2009 GM offered the L76 mated with a 4L70 transmission in pickup trucks. These were marketed as the "Vortec Max". As long as the "newer" 4L60 you mentioned using in your post has an ISS (which some refer to as a 4L65) - it could be a reasonable substitution for the OEM 4L70.

OK that's what I was wondering, I wanted to make sure that there would be a program out the I could start with because there is no harness with this engine.
    Thanks for the information.
