    A beginners explanation of histograms

Im new to tuning and can't find a write up on the basics of histograms. Im working on a professionally tuned lq9 with a comp 88mm turbo. I added meth injection and I need to change the tuning for the meth.

Why do we use historams and what do they help us see that can't be seen in the chart and playing back a log?

How does it determine that cells to populate?

Can i use an afr error histogram if I'm injecting meth?

    Thanks
    Alex

histograms can be used to put into your different tables. you can use interpolate function to smooth the cells that you used from you histogram

They help you see exactly what cell you are in within a specific table, they can also be modified to see virtually anything you want(or don't want) to see. Additionally they can be used to correct tables in the editor when used properly.

Thanks guys, right now Im tuning my wot afr. I have the afr histogram up but it only has a hand full of cell filled in with the afr. How can I make it to where all cells are populated with afr?

By default there are NO filters.

So why can't all cells be populated with info? How and why does it choose cells that look to be random?

Look at your X and Y axis'
    Lets say RPM vs Map
You need to drive (run on dyno is best) in a cell to fill it.
eg 800 rpm Map 30 will fill that cell
800 rpm with foot heavy into throttle Map 90 will fill that cell (800 vs 90)
Hard to just type out the explanation but hope that helps.

Is it a load bearing Dyno?
Where you can set it at a Max MPH and run through load range?
    Post some logs.
