Is there a different cable/setup for 08 gmc vs 98-02 z28?

I have the setup for 99-02 z28 but now own a 2008 GMC sierra. Is there a different setup for 08 up that I need to purchase? cable/software?

Some years ago HPTuners used to have different cables per year/model, I remember there used to be one cable only for 98 camaros (a friend of mine still has one of those) but then they changed to a more flexible licensing model so your cable is now universal form the vehicles supported, you just need to buy credits like Jaime says if you don't already have them because if you just tuned one car your cable might have some extra (new cables include 8 credits), check this FAQ:

yup. You have to license a tune to modify and save it. Tied to the ECU.
