I am trying to tune a 2006 Grand Prix and after the read entire finishes I get a CHECKSUM ERROR? Its my buddys car and to his knowledge there was no previous tuner installed into the car. Is this car tuneable?

2006 Grand prix are not supported, hence the reason for the error. With that said if you send support the file you read/saved as well as a vcm suite infolog I can at least track any progress on these pcm's.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Most guys with 06-07 grand prix's find a 2004 or 2005 PCM to use.
The gas gauge will read backwards but thats about the only thing swapping the 2 does.
