hey lads ive been data logging with livelink 6.5 but i want to compare and have a look at hp's logging but it seems there is little to no PID's in the list
anyone care to give me a simple run down of the best way to set up hp tuners logging with the aust ford PID's or how to write custom PID's

There aren't a real heap it seems, do you still use your SCT and xcal to log also?
Yeh livelink 6.5 works fairly well but i hoped the poxy hp tuners software would at least pick up the generic pid's at a bare min but i can only get hp to log a dozen things at best and there all crap pid's
I mean the poxy TORQUE app has more available and its $4.95 ffs

I use Livelink to log also. It seems hp doesnt allow individual control of the VCT either. From BA mk11 onwards from the factory they did.
There is a different version of Livelink toads suggested for custom histograms though

I use live link... HP logging leaves a lot to be desired for fords... GM stuff is spot on tho..
I also use LiveLink for logging...HP Tuner's resolution is so poor (for Fords) you have no choice. Hope this is fixed soon.
Yeh ive completed alot of livelink logs now and i honestly can not wait to beable to purchase sct advantage 3 for tuning because hp logging is non existant and tuning is throwing up its hurdles as fast as i try to overcome them ( see injector thread in help section ) bloody shame as hp COULD be a worthy package not only for the home tuner but on a professional level
Sorry just feel like having a full on sook but rob herrod is on the other end of the phone 24/7 and for business this makes sense,
A bit of prase for hp is at least i can tune fords without the huge outlay

Do you have the professional version of hp tuner?
Wondering if it's worth the extra $$ over standard version! But if live links better I can't see it being worth the extra.
The software for Pro and Standard is the same, the Pro lets you log other inputs like a wideband.
The Scanner for HPT will be get an upgrade soon for Fords as I have read.
