    Install 2005 E-Fans on 1999 Silverado 1500 ?

Can I copy the e-fan parameters from a 2005 silverado tune to my 99s? Just figured it would take the guess work out.

More than a few threads on this topic ... if you use the search function, you will probably have hours of reading material.

You can configure the PCM to operate the E-Fans based on ECT. However, getting the PCM to operate the E-Fans when the A/C is activated is much more involved.

Actually on my 2001, when the AC in on, the ECU commands the low fan to come on. I wired my truck, so that one fan comes on when low fan (pin 33) is grounded and the other fan comes on when high fan (pin 42) is grounded. So when my AC is on and ECT is below the set points, the one fan turns on below 35mph. Works very well and AC is super cold even at idle. I set the turn off time on the low fan to 45 seconds, so the fan doesn't cycle with the AC compressor.

Update, I rewired my fans the same as the 05+ trucks, both fans low with pin 33 and both fans high with pin 42. The AC still blows super cold at idle. With one fan running on high most of the time, the circuit was getting very hot and the plastic fuse holder was getting soft. No issues now, great performance with less current draw. I originally bought the electric fan harness from LS1fans.com and have had issues. I made my own harness with up rated components and no issues since.
