    Afr won`t change. why?

I would like to post data log and tune, but can't figure out how. So anyways, I bought a procharged WS6 that runs terrible except WOT (WOT runs good). It is almost always rich, like sometimes as low 10.5 afr at idle and light throttle. I even borrowed a second wideband and installed it close to mine and they were both nearly identical. I also installed it in the opposite header and found that bank 2 was generally reading 1 number leaner than the other, even though injector pulsewidths were the same. So maybe I have a hardware issue in regards to that. But the MAIN issue is that I am seeing NO change in afr when I alter the VE tables (pri. or sec.). I mean NO change even when I cut the whole table 60%. I have even tried changing just about every airflow/fuel table I can think of i.e. map vs ECT adder, flow rate vs KPA, etc.

Now I DID see a change when I raised stoich. But of course this seemed to raise afrs across the board. Even when I did this and the afr looked a bit better, it still ran and idled rough.

I also noticed that it is always using the low octane table, even when there was no KR present, and I do know that the knock sensors are functioning. Not sure if this has anything to do with the other complications.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Did you disable the maf? Assuming a maf is still on the car and you haven't applied a 2 bar sd os....

As for the knock retard/low octane timing issue maybe try logging burst knock. I think that could possibly cause it to run the low table, even if the "vs rpm" table under burst knock retard is zero'ed out. If that table is zero'ed, try raising the values in "enable delta cyl air" under burst knock retard.

To post the tune file just click "Go Advanced" button on here and then you will see where it says manage attachments or something like that. Click that and then just browse your files for the tune file you have saved and open it.

Thanks Tick, I haven`t logged the knock burst before.
I can`t believe it! I just went out for some more log/tuning and started with the original tune and reduced the ve tables as I have already done several times to no avail, and it worked this time! My afrs actually went up this time. The only thing I think I did differently was actually exit the tables I changed and then hit save. Last time I think I left the tables open when I saved it. Are you supposed to exit the table fisrt?

How come the ve tables only go to 105 kpa? As soon as I`m into boost It`ll be off the chart. I know it will eventually be in PE, but it still has to have a baseline to go off of. Where is it finding that baseline?

    1. Apply a 2 or 3 bar operating system based on what you plan on running for boost
    2. You appear to have a 2 bar map already installed, put correct data for it into tune file after 2 bar os applied
    3. Set p0101, 102, 103 to mil on first error
    4. Remove maf and map pid from scanning, add 2 bar map. As you stated you knew the afr add your wideband into the scanner also.
    5. Stop going wot, your gonna break something
    6. Read up on putting into open loop and tuning with wideband. Tune driveability areas and gradualy work to wot.

Do you have the proper injector data?

gagliano7 brings up a point I missed, your injector data is not correct also. Finding the correct data for what you have(if possible) and putting it in from the beggining will be best. Also, I am assuming your map is a 2 bar from what I saw in your log. Take the part number off the top and confirm it.

Wow, how can you tell my injector data is wrong just by looking at the tune?

Not on pc with hpt right now, but I opened up your tune with stock compare tune, the Injector flow rate was changed while rest is stock.

Not trying to jump all over the place here, but I was messing with my TBSS last night that has a lean spot under heavy throttle, and its giving me a similar issue I was having with the WS6. When I alter the PE table it has no effect whatsoever, no matter how much I change it. Any thoughts. As you can see the PE values are already very high. I know I would benefit from 2 bar OS as well.

Any ideas? I`m borrowing a plug-in wideband and need to return it in a day or two.
