    Questions about o2's?

Okay we hooked the interface up and performed a scan on our '00 Z/28 and the first thing I noticed is the o2 sensors were recording very low, in the 120's. So we took it for a ride and when you run WOT they max out. Where do we start to correct this? Is this a sign of faulty o2's? Or just a bad tune?

the o2s are voltage generators, they switch at approx. 0.45 volts or 450mv

below 450mv they are reporting a lean mix, above 450mv they are reporting a rich mix

they should be at 800-850+ at WOT otherwise your engine is running lean

If warmed up and in Closed Loop the O2 sensor voltages should swing back and forth.

I know .120 is low but I've seen this a lot when they are not hot enough to work because they are WAY rich and stick down there. Depends on OS of course...

WOT like said above should be around .850 and depending on OS CL is disabled and they will be steady there. Pegged out is way rich again.

    HTH!
