Exclamation New Injectors - Dyno Tune WOT

Fitted new injectors, scaled with injectors.xls

The car has no MAF so runs SD all the time. We checked the mid range at differrent loads and AFR all OK

Ran WOT on the dyno and the car was runing lean, 14.2 AFR. So I started adjusting the VE table to bring it down but this had no effect?

    Any Ideas?

History: Before the injectors the WOT was 12.2.

Maybe you are pump / plumbing limited now?
Did you get fuel pressure numbers at the top
end? Was the AFR consistently higher, or just
    at higher RPM?

    Assuming you mean IFR:

    41.54364 41.85366 42.10168 42.34971 42.59773 42.84575 43.09377 43.34179 43.58981 43.83784 44.08586 44.33388 44.58190 44.82992 45.07795 45.32597 45.51198

They are Bosch 36lb injectors rated at 43.5psi scaled to 58psi with injectors.xls

check your fuel pressure. if that is still the same, maybe the other injectors were added wrong? also, remember the injector offset tables are not accurate. that could also give reason for a VE retune since it is a pulse width modifier based on injector type and size.

Did not check PSI at High end but the AFR were high at WOT only. I could get them right by adjutsing the PE table to:

    1.08887 1.08887 1.08887 1.08887 1.08887 1.08887 1.12988 1.12988 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031 1.32031

But 14.7/1.32 = 11.13 AFR and we are only seeing 12.2 Wideband.

    Does something else effect WOT

I added 10 to all VE upper cells and reset fuel trim and when powered up car the AFR did not change

what kind of car? if this is a Holden ute with variable speed fuel pump then make sure you read the help files for "Max Torque" under Engine, Tq Management section.

    Great response guys.

The car is a Holden Commodore VX GTS with a C4B Callaway engine. This engine did not have a MAF. I will read help files, stay tuned

Chris, The Max Torque is set to 633 ftlb and the std figure is 350 ftlb.

So the previous tuner has increased the Max Torque figure and this will drop the voltage to the fuel pump? Therefore the fuel pressure will be decreased and by adjusting the PE you regain the AFR?

Seems that my standard HVS GTS file is wrong

This still leaves the original question:

were the fuel trims 0 on the previous run?

    SoundEngineer: file attached

    My tune attached.

The OLFA are not set to 1.0. When I increased the VE table by 10 in the 75 to 90 kpa range it did not make a difference at WOT.

    Cheers

I also have the scan while on the dyno, so you can see the ltft stay at zero!

Do you want me to load that as well?

However, I do not have AFR as we have not connected it to the EIO yet.

    OK, I found it

I change the 75-90 kpa range on the VE table and the engine is running in the 95-100 kpa range at WOT

Good rule: Check everything again and it will become obvious

did you just copy/paste the wrong line by accident i guess?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
