Any problems tuning a 2010 2500 with 6.0L?
Customer says he was told his truck 2010 couldn't be tuned....? I searched around doesn't seem to be a problem from what I can tell? Is there something im missing? thanks

Typically the 2500s use a unique OS - but this doesn't prevent being tuned. Many (but not all) of the 2011+ 2500s use an E78 ECM (not the E38) - this may be what is causing confusion.

yeah I looked at supported vehicle list too everything looks legit. I called him back I guess he called superchip and they said there hand held couldn't tune it. from what I see HP is no problem

wonder if a late model 2010 got e78???

Highly doubtful ... have never seen one at least ... possible that Superchips does not support the "one off" 2500 OS.

Had a few minutes, so I dug a little deeper, rather than replying from memory.
Looks like many of the 2007 & 2008 2500 series trucks with the 6.0L used a unique ECM OS. In 2008 (vans only) & 2009 (trucks & vans) the 2500 series 6.0L appear to use the same OS as the light duty trucks.
In 2010 the 2500 series trucks ECM OS may be the same as used by the light duty trucks (vans used a different OS), but the TCM OS (6L90) may be unique.
Perhaps all of these exceptions to the rules are why Superchips doesn't offer support. Just guessing ...
