This is a bit embarrassing , but I found that my editor settings were at beginner level and hence I could not see the VATS settings , cost me 2 days of
So I disabled the VATS and then had to contend with the Bootloader download timeout issue. Tried everything that was recommended in the forum but no joy. So unplugged the VCM from the Blazer and plugged into the family Denali. Was able to Write Entire from first attempt without an issue ( I guess it is a proof that wiring and not VCM is behind the bootloader issue). Cranked the Denali and it started. Removed the ECM and plugged it back in the Blazer , it started from the first crank.
Next , complete the exhaust installations and then take to the street to see how the 6L90E behaves with the Blazer diff ratio. Almost there....
