    GM E92/E39A ECM support

    HP Tuners is pleased to announce support for the E92 ECM used on the new generation of Gen V SIDI V8 engines being released in the 2014 trucks and also the soon to be released C7 Corvette. We are currently completing the initial calibration definitions and other tasks within the VCM Suite 2.24 general release. Also, included is support for the E39A ECM which is an enhanced version of the existing E39 ECM and is used on various non-V8 SIDI engines.

    Well Done!! Awesome work as always

    How do the cals look? Along the same lines as previous or a complete paradigm shift? I am guessing plenty of control over accurate fuel delivery

    They are the same breed as the E39 V6 SIDI and similar to the E78 Holden Cruze Turbo (although not DI). GM has moved to a torque based driver demand model (similar to Ford/Dodge), instead of the pedal follower/torque hybrid you're used to with the GenIV. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) for us Aussies, Holden has no plans to release the engine locally.

    Will this cover the suvs with the 3.6 like the Acadia and Traverse?

    I know the 2013 Acadia uses the E39A so more than likely we will be supporting them in time.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Great job by you guys again staying ahead of the curve . Wondering if maybe you could post up a stock calibration so we less fortunate could drive through the calibration details.

    Chris,

    So far so good......the fun has yet to begun so everyone shouldn't start pounding your laptops...The e92 is a serious controller and steps to properly re calibrate it will not be as simple as fixing a MAF and playing with the airflow coefficients....

    Lot's going on with the GDI system and if you don't really understand it start studying. Plus some new sensors....the "MAF" now is a MAF, IAT, Inlet Pressure Sensor and a Humidity Sensor in one unit......very cool.....

    Can we log AFR just by plugging in the OBDII cable, just like the new mustangs and gtr r35's?
