Thread: single bank fueling on e38?

    single bank fueling on e38?

    ok so my question goes

if one were to modify the injector bank select (under engine/fuel/general) so all the cylinders are on bank1 (which is 0 in injector bank select)

and then remove the bank 2 o2's, and put the bank 1 o2 sensor after an exhaust merge (before or after the turbo) or better yet use the wideband that is already after the turbo to simulate a narrowband signal .......

would said person have closed loop fueling control on all cylinders via bank 1 / bank 1 o2 sensor?

ive never used only 1. always 2.

ive always put them in the dump pipe. I have found with several cars the turbulence in the dump causes on sensor to have +STFT and the other -STFT. this is only at idle and light throttle. as soon as some gas flows they come good. I generally just do them in full open loop SD
