IAT crazy high just want to know what stock is
was checking out a stock tune on a 2005 ls2 auto gto and while i was scanning, the IAT was fluctuating between 151 degrees 147 i know its not tht big of a deal but the gauge was red ringed it does have a stock air intake and air box with a k and n filter was wondering if i should cold air kit the vehicle and reposition the sensor for more comfortable reading ...i know its stock but is tht right????
What is it driving down the road? You will always have a high temp from heatsoak under the hood sitting still.

What was the ambient air temperature?
I bet you were sitting still with the hood closed.
I see this on the LS3 camaros with aftermarket CAI when doing idle tuning. Soon as you go down the road they drop QUICKLY.

The GTO IAT sensor heatsoaks very easily in its stock location. That's one reason an IAT relocate is a popular mod for GTOs. On my GTO, I used a breakout harness to relocate the IAT sensor.
