    schpenxel,

lol, yeah that's what i'm thinking. This is a bit rough for a newb. I'll send HPT and email requesting access to the beta. Was nice to get my newb hands a bit dirty with the Bluecat tool.

I went back to Bluecats tool. For some reason with the beta VVE tuning, I was chasing AFR Error %/all over the place. I used a sample BVE with similar cam specs and went from there.

I had the same experience. BlueCat may have several steps, it seems to be much more reliable.

Is this thing broken? I'm trying it on HPT version 3.2.24 and it will read the tables, make a good looking VE table, but then if I write it back into the tune it copies it all wrong. When I reload what it writes into my tune it becomes a complete monstrosity of a ve table that gets generated.

I thought I saw something about it not pasting back into 3.2 correctly?

If you're trying to use the version that has the "auto pasting hooks" I don't think it has worked right since 2.25. There are two versions of this floating around. One from bluecat and one that is a modified version with "hooks". The Bluecat version should still work since it is a basic copy/paste function.

I have problems with the copy over of the coefficient tables...Blue Cat 4.2.2 for some reason won't allow the copy/paste...Zones RPM works, but when I get to MAP, it just flashes red? I have to manually load the tables :-( Using WIndows 10.

My last public release is only good with 2.24. Starting in 2.25 tru 3.x they changed the formatting of the copy and paste with labels, changes the format of some tables, and removed the "blind" paste. In other words you are being encouraged to use the built in VVE editor they now supply, and I suggest that you do so.

Thank you Phil, I use your setup to validate results at this time or if one of my customers uses it...Old habits are tough to crack :-) We really appreciate your efforts to support VVE from its onset...Thank you from the entire community.

:/ but yours figures the zones out for us ! argh.. Care to share either with us or the HPT crew how you where figuring out the breakpoints for zones? Trying to do it by hand takes a lot of trial and error to avoid sharp peaks between zones.

Ever feel like a dummy Well I do know - why haven't any of us and especially me - bothered to ask this simple question? Geeezzz...

Any chance of this bluecat or HPT??? Or is there just a problem with doing this? I know in some instances if bluecat had previously changed the boundaries and your using HPT's tool to make corrections - you can wind up with weird lean spot issues at specific map points... Seems like the boundary and VVE changes go hand in hand? Just wondering if this is possible in the future?

I am not convinced the HP VVE is calculating airflow accurately, I have had mulitiple vehicles that are MAF/VVE that I have had to convert over to the other team due to driveability errors, going pure SD does not offer the fuelling and timing stability of blended and filtered MAF at higher air flows. I would love to see the BC tool working on HP ver. 3 as I have unlimited HP and don't want to spend the money on going to the alternative.
