Do you need to upgrade to the 2 bar VCM enhancement before the 3 bar enhancement upgrade becomes available ?

Not enough room in your operating system for 3 bar more than likely.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

how to get 3 bar on 2004 chevy 2500hd all i can see is 2 bar, the Main VE only goes to 210. i haven't loaded the tune into the truck yet, because i need the 3 bar VCM enhancement upgrade, but all that is available is 2 Bar MAP Speed Density, there is a 3 Bar MAP Speed Density right under the 2 bar but it is grayed out, my question is, do i need to buy the 2 bar upgrade and install it before the 3 bar becomes available ?
No, there is no 3 bar available, period.

on this VCM do i need to calibrate the 2 bar map or is it plug and play ? ugh iv spent hours looking this info up can't seem to find anything, i also have calibrated success and have watched both parts more times than i can recall, in part two he talks about changing the calibrations in the vcm for the new 2 bar map, but thats on a gen4 and with EFI live .... can't find any settings even close to those on EFI live on HPT to calibrate the map on a gen3 ..

You should upgrade to the newer 12587603 operating system via tech2(gm dealer flash tool) which we offer 3 bar for. You are using a preproduction operating system from the looks of it.

Why can't i use hptuners to upgrade to this newer Os, can't i just find a 2004 Os that has 3 bar enhancements available and write it to my ECM ?
iv been doing a lot of reading over the years and still can't seem to figure this out, though i have learned how to tune
thanks and peace
you can but youd have to pay for both OS files.
Not to mention not all operating systems are alike, just because the os id is the same doesn't mean the calibration is...
