Credit & operating system confusion

I am hopefully purchasing the Standard software next week & I know it has 8 credits, but here is where I get a little lost. My PCM is from a 2001 Silverado & is the 411 style with blue & red connectors. After doing a lot of reading, I think I want to load a 02 LS1 Camaro operating system to my PCM. Is this possible & if so, will everything work just fine? If that works, then I think I want to do the RTT OS also. How many of my credits am I going to use up?

You'll use 6 credits. First you'll license the PCM. Then to swap it to an Fbody OS, you'll burn up 2 more. Then to license a custom OS, 2 more.
